What is Chasing Dreams for MS?
Thank you for your interest in Chasing Dreams for MS!

Chasing Dreams for MS is a dynamic new Rocky Mountain MS Center program.  It pairs the dreams of individuals with an opportunity to get involved in the community. Chasing Dreams for MS invites inspiring individuals to make their dreams a reality while investing in the mission of the Rocky Mountain MS Center.  It was created to highlight individuals who have personal goals, as well as a passion to support an important cause: multiple sclerosis (MS).

Why MS?  MS is the leading cause of disability in young women, the second leading cause of disability in young men, and the third leading cause overall of disabilities in the U.S.  MS impacts patients in the prime of their lives, and within 10 year of diagnosis there is a 50% reduction in the number of patients able to work outside the home.  Additionally, MS is the second most expensive chronic disease to treat, and the cost of disease modifying treatments averages $35,000/year alone.

For more than 30 years, the Rocky Mountain MS Center has been a patient-centered organization dedicated to changing the way we think about and treat MS in order to protect the futures of those living with the disease. We offer a comprehensive care approach, as well as the necessary tools to empower patients and their families and promote quality of life.

Programs and services provided by the Rocky Mountain MS Center include:
  • MS Center Clinic at Anschutz Medical Campus
  • Adult Day Program
  • MS Clinic at Potomac Street
  • Hydrotherapy
  • Counseling and Referrals
  • Disability assessment Clinic
  • Educational Seminars and Classes
  • Tissue Bank
  • Clinical research
Chasing Dreams for MS consists of two major components:
  • Dream Chaser Program: Rocky Mountain MS Center Dream Chasers are the courageous individuals who take on personal challenges while fundraising for the Rocky Mountain MS Center.
  • Chasing Dreams for MS annual community events and programs:
    • Kids Stepping Up for MS! provides children with a fun and interactive opportunity to give back to the community.  After participating in an event held in at the REI store in Denver, CO, these youth will be invited to continue the-ir involvement by becoming Dream Chasers.
    • Multiple Summits for MS will be a summer program through which active individuals will take on the challenge of climbing one of Colorado’s many 14ers (14,000 foot peaks), or other peaks around the world.  By joining the Summits program, individuals will support one another while supporting the work of the MS Center.
