April 18-24, 2021 is National Volunteer Week! Please join us as we thank the wonderful volunteers who help us fulfill our mission: To improve the quality of life of individuals and their families living with MS and related neurological diseases through care, support, education and research. #NVW
Last month, David Geonetta completed his two-year term as Board Chair for the Rocky Mountain MS Center. David joined the Board of Directors in 2016 and continues to serve on the Board volunteering his time and lending his voice to our mission. In any given year, the Board Chair is relied upon to strategically lead the organization in continued growth and service. What David did not realize when he agreed to serve as the Board Chair, is that 2020 would be a year unlike any other.
David stepped up and provided guidance and leadership to his fellow board members and supported the staff through a fast-paced and critical response to the pandemic by our organization. We wanted to highlight David’s commitment and hundreds of volunteer hours given to the Rocky Mountain MS Center – leading us through challenges no one could foresee, and allowing us to continue to support and serve individuals and families impacted by MS.
