Adventures Within programs are custom designed retreats for people living with MS, friends and family members. Programs are offered through the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center in collaboration with the Rocky Mountain MS Center.
All activities are customized to the meet the interests and abilities of the participants. Spend each day in unique outdoor environments being active, and facing new challenges all while enjoying the support of BOEC staff, friends and family. Evening times are ideal for sharing stories, expressing joys and sharing valuable insights.
All programs will include lodging, home cooked meals, specialty equipment such as ski rentals, individual ski lessons, and 24 hour staff support/supervision. Prices vary depending on program. Scholarship is available based upon need!
2014 Adventures Within Calendar
Adult programs (Friends and family members, and care attendants welcome to attend at a reduced cost).
March 1-5: 5 day 4 night ski retreat, featuring 3 days of skiing and riding on the slopes of Breckenridge. Program is based out of our Scott Griffith Lodge.
September 7-11: 5 day 4 night summer retreat featuring white water rafting, ropes course and adaptive cycling. Program is based out of our Scott Griffith Lodge.
September TBD: 5 day/4 night flat-water canoe/camping trip. Come spend 3 days floating through Ruby and Horse Thief Canyons is Southwestern Colorado into Utah. Travel from Breckenridge included in the cost of the program.

Youth Programs (ages 12-17 years)
January 17-20: Come spend your MLK weekend in Breckenridge featuring 2 days of skiing and riding with the BOEC’S adaptive ski program. This program will focus on promoting independence, confidence, social skills and self esteem. Program lodging will be based out of our Rustic Old Cabin. August 1-3:Come spend 3 adventure full days in Breckenridge, featuring ropes course, white rafting, and rock climbing. Live, work, and play with your peers in a “family” group of 6-8 campers and 2-3 outdoor educators from the BOEC. Program lodging will be based out of our Rustic Old Cabin.
The BOEC has been delivering outdoor and therapeutic recreation experiences for over 35 years. We serve many different ages and populations and are uniquely suited to special needs in our staff experience, equipment and facilities.
