The snow has started falling in the mountains and ski season is beginning here in the Rockies! If you are a skier and are living with a disability, you may be eligible for a discounted adaptive pass at the below ski resorts.
Copper Mountain
Name of Pass: Copper Adaptive Pass
Cost: $229.00
Available to: Any guest with a physical or mental impairment that hinders their skiing ability. Guests are qualified for this pass on a case by case basis.
Pass offers: Unlimited skiing at Copper during the 2016/2017 ski season,
How to obtain: This must be purchased at Copper Guest Services with medical documentation stating the guests’ condition. Typically, we accept a doctor’s verified statement on an official medical letter head, or a Disabled Veteran Military ID. If the guests’ condition is physically evident, we don’t typically require medical documentation, although it’s always easier to have.
Winter Park
Name of Pass: Disabled Winter Park Resort Pass
Cost: $160.00
Available to: Any guest with a lifetime disability that requires assistance on the slopes
Pass offers: Unlimited skiing at Winter Park during the 16/17 season
How to obtain: This must be purchased at the NSCD Office located in the Balcony House at Winter Park Resort. There you must document: 1. Lifetime disability (requires a letter from their provider), 2. That you need assistance on the slopes to ski (this can written in the letter stated in #1). There you’ll be given a voucher to take up to Winter Park Resort Guest Service.
Vail Resorts – Vail, Beaver Creek, Keystone, Breckenridge, Arapahoe Basin, Park City, Afton Alps, Mt Brighton, Wilmot, Heavenly, Northstar, Kirkwood, Perisher, and Tahoe.

Available to: anyone with a permanent disability that severely limits one or more major life activities.
Pass offers: Variable offer with passes available at Vail, Beaver Creek, Keystone, Breckenridge, Arapahoe Basin, Park City, Afton Alps, Mt Brighton, Wilmot, Heavenly, Northstar, Kirkwood, Perisher, and Tahoe. From 5-day pass to full season.
How to obtain: You must fill out an application, obtain a letter from their provider stating their disability and need for an adaptive pass, and take both to any Vail Resorts season pass office. CLICK HERE to download application.
