After a shutdown lasting more than 40 days, the government has reopened, but Congress as of yet failed to extend the enhanced premium tax credits (EPTCs) that help many people afford health insurance. As a result, Colorado families are already facing average premium increases of 101%, with the biggest impacts in rural areas.
