Volunteer Spotlight: Ayelen V.

April 21-27, 2024 is National Volunteer Week! Please join us as we thank the wonderful volunteers who help us fulfill our mission: To improve the quality of life of individuals and their families living with MS and related neurological diseases through care, support, education and research. #NVW

Ayelen V. is a volunteer at the King Adult Day Enrichment Program (KADEP) for her work study program with Arrupe Jesuit High School. She has been a tremendous help to our staff and clients.

Every week, Ayelen helps KADEP by assisting with client groups, serving meals, interacting with clients, and so much more. “I’ve had a beautiful experience with the Rocky Mountain MS Center. The activities are really fun, and it’s nice to help clients with their independence and increasing their skills.”

Ayelen chose to volunteer with KADEP because she hopes to become a nurse or doctor when she grows up. She feels that the MS Center has helped to prepare her for her future career and that it has increased her passion for helping others.

The Rocky Mountain MS Center is grateful to partner with other organizations like Arrupe Jesuit High School to have individuals and groups work with the King Adult Day Enrichment Program. If you’re interested in volunteering like Ayelen, reach out to Sarah Sin at ssin@mscenter.org.
