April 23-29, 2017 is National Volunteer Week! Please join us as we thank the wonderful volunteers who help us fulfill our mission: To improve the quality of life of individuals and their families living with MS and related neurological diseases through care, support, education and research. #NVW
Jenny Hill has actively volunteered with RMMSC’s Hydrotherapy Program for over two years. Twice each week, she joins Hydrotherapy Coordinator and Physical Therapist, Michele Harrison, and dozens of hydrotherapy participants in community pools throughout the Denver area.
Jenny is incredibly dedicated and committed to supporting the Hydrotherapy Program. She assists clients in the dressing room, helps participants exercise in the water, and assists with the social hour after class. Recently we spoke with Jenny to learn more about why she loves volunteering:
“It’s so inspiring to see the impact that Hydrotherapy has for people,” Jenny explained, “People who have difficulty walking and moving outside of the water experience freedom of movement when they are in the pool. And it’s also a truly wonderful community – participants connect each week, they form friendships, and support one another. You know you are helping people and everyone is so appreciative.”
We are so grateful for all of your amazing support, time, and dedication, Jenny. You are making a difference in the lives of so many people. Thank you!
