MS symptoms may create workplace challenges or even prevent work entirely. This webinar is a brief overview of the primary legal tools for staying in the workforce, and suggestions for creating a stronger financial safety net.
This program is intended for those who are working, not people receiving benefits already (of course, people already receiving benefits are welcome to watch but are unlikely to hear useful information). This webinar will review the two most critical laws for helping people with MS stay in the workforce despite symptoms: the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). In addition, this webinar is designed to help people in the event they become unable to work at all by reviewing basic information about private disability benefits and Social Security Disability Insurance.
