At Denver Adaptive Divers (DAD), the Mission is to break down physical and psychological barriers by offering adaptive scuba programs that encourage empowerment, independence, and personal growth while promoting physical and mental well-being. Through scuba diving, DAD aims to create an inclusive world where individuals with disabilities have equal access to adventure and community engagement through the transformative experience of scuba diving.
Denver Adaptive Divers offers tailored scuba programs designed to accommodate the unique needs of people with disabilities. Whether an individual has mobility impairments, visual disabilities, or hearing disabilities, our certified instructors adapt diving techniques and equipment to ensure every participant has a safe and enjoyable experience. Scuba diving also provides numerous therapeutic benefits. The calming, weightless environment of the ocean can help alleviate physical pain, reduce anxiety, and promote emotional healing.
While the program begins in the pool and classroom, that’s only the start. DAD takes students to the ocean for their diving certification to experience the magic of the marine environment, setting the course for a lifetime of marine adventures. Through a scholarship with DAD, a person with MS and their selected dive buddy will get free training, certification, and an all-inclusive diving trip (flights and diving crew tips are paid by the participants).
